Buy FIGS if you want anti-wrinkle performance, a high rise that stays put, and the highest pocket counts in the premium tier. Buy Jaanuu if you need to know how warm a garment will be before you own it, you want a wider published size range, or you run hot. Both make genuinely good fabric; they tell you different things about it.

Fabric weight is Jaanuu’s real advantage
Weight in ounces per square yard tells you how warm and how opaque a garment is. It is the most practically useful number in this category and almost nobody publishes it - Jaanuu does, per garment, and the spread across its own range is large: 6 oz/yd2 on the Rhena against 9.7 on the Cesi.
That means you can buy for your unit rather than hoping. If you work somewhere warm, or you have hot flashes, that single disclosure is worth more than any other difference between these brands.
Pockets and rise are FIGS’s
The pocket spread between these brands is stark: the FIGS Yola is listed at eleven, while the Jaanuu Rhena has one. Even the moderate FIGS options - four on the Kade - sit alongside a Jaanuu top with a single chest pocket.
The high rise on the Zamora is the other practical FIGS win. You bend over a bed several hundred times in twelve hours, and a rise that stays put removes a small irritation you would otherwise repeat all shift.
Anti-wrinkle versus softness
FIGS states anti-wrinkle as a fabric property and the fiber content supports it at 72% polyester. In practice that means a set comes out of a bag looking worn-in rather than slept-in, which is the difference people actually notice.
Jaanuu’s UltraSOFT line goes the other direction - 65% rayon produces the softest, most opaque fabric on this site and also the most prone to creasing and the least launderable. Those are the same property seen from both sides, and neither brand has escaped the trade.
Both share the same weakness
Rayon content. FIGS at 21% and Jaanuu at 18% to 65% both make garments that will not survive industrial laundering intact. If your employer washes your scrubs, this comparison is academic and the mid-market comparison is the one you want.
Both also publish less than the cheaper brands do. Cherokee publishes exact compositions plus an explicit disclaimer about its antimicrobial treatment; WonderWink publishes actual pocket dimensions. Neither premium brand matches that, which is worth knowing when you are paying twice as much.
Who should buy which
You run hot, or the unit does. Jaanuu, for the published weight.
You carry a lot. FIGS. Eleven pockets against one is not a close call.
You need a size outside the common range. Jaanuu, which states XXS to 3XL.
Your scrubs travel in a bag and sit in a locker. FIGS, for the anti-wrinkle.
Softness above everything. Jaanuu’s UltraSOFT line - and accept the laundry limitation.
Your employer launders them. Neither.
